A Special Thank You goes out to ALL who attended this year’s conference.

The 7th Annual Thomas L. Petty MD Moving Mountains COPD Conference had reservations for 143 participants with an additional 9 additional paying at the door. From southern Colorado there were 30 participants taking the bus from Pueblo and Colorado Springs area and 17 participants taking the bus down from Fort Collins, Longmont the northern Colorado area. The conference was enjoyed by all attendees.

John Goodman RRT moderated the conference that featured Barry Make MD (who was the keynote speaker at the 1st Colorado COPD Conference) with a presentation “COPD RESEARCH AND ADVANCES”

Robert McCoy RRT spoke about “HOME OXYGEN CONSERVERS-HOW THEY DIFFER, HOW THEY WORK”

Twenty vendors from Durable Medical Equipment providers to oxygen equipment manufactures were there to show off their goods and answer any questions.

After lunch the “PATIENT PANEL—SELF EMPOWERMENT” was presented by Edna Fiore, Keene Jorgensen & Joe Walsh.

Breakout sessions on ‘MEDICARE CHANGES WITH OXYGEN & DME” by Lyla Nichols & Beverly Mendicello from the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and “PULMONARY REHAB—WHY IT HELPS LUNG DISEASE” by Linda Gunnison RN & Joan Balik RRT from the University of Colorado Medical Center completed the program.
